We had a great visit at the Artisan shop with our friend Pat from @boyleenergy . Pat stopped by to check out our new location, learn a little more about how we operate, and spend some time talking shop. If you know Pat, you know he’s a connector. He’s always looking for ways to help the people around him, make introductions, and support other local businesses.
Our connection to Boyle Energy actually goes back long before we knew Pat. Jon lived in Drexel Hill for 14 years and bought a home with oil heat. As a young homeowner with a young family, he didn’t know much about oil heat, what it would cost, or what happens when you suddenly realize you’re about to run out. There were also times when money was tight.
Through all of it, Boyle Energy never left Jon and his family in the cold. Literally. Their technicians and office staff were always kind, understanding, and empathetic. That kind of customer service sticks with you.
Now that we know Pat, that experience makes even more sense. Boyle Energy’s legacy goes all the way back to 1937, when Joseph Boyle Sr. started the company with his brother John, one truck, a toolbox, and a vision of taking care of customers personally.
Three generations later, you can see that legacy in the way Pat treats his employees, customers, friends, and people throughout the community. Jon experienced that culture as a customer years before we ever knew Pat, and today we get to see where it comes from.

Love your kitchen cabinets? You don’t have to replace them or paint them.
If your cabinets are solid and you still love the look of the natural wood, sometimes the best option is to restore what’s already yours.
These cabinets had years of wear in some of the highest-touch areas. The finish had broken down and, in places, exposed the bare wood underneath.
Rather than changing the entire kitchen, we focused on preserving it.
We stripped and sanded the damaged areas, conditioned the wood, carefully matched the existing stain, rebuilt the protective clear coat, cleaned and touched up the cabinetry, and installed new hardware.
The goal wasn’t to change these cabinets.
It was to restore what the homeowner already loved.
Painting is an option. Replacement is an option. Restoration is an option too.

This one is about more than a fresh coat of paint.
The homeowner had peeling and damaged areas on the ceiling that needed to be addressed before anything could be painted. Craig handled the project from the estimate through the repair and painting, and the finished room looks like the problem was never there.
But my favorite part of the review is this:
“He went above and beyond in every aspect of the project.”
That’s what we want people to remember about working with Artisan.
Sometimes you need an entire room painted. Sometimes you have a damaged ceiling, drywall or plaster repair, or one of those smaller projects you’ve been meaning to take care of.

Liz is often the first voice our clients hear, the person keeping all of us organized, and someone our entire team knows we can count on.
As our Office Manager, she plays such an important role in the experience we want every client to have. From that first phone call to everything happening behind the scenes, Liz helps keep Artisan moving every single day.
She’s also family in more ways than one. She’s Jon’s sister, and we’re incredibly lucky to have her as such an important part of both our family and the Artisan family.

We recently went to a ribbon cutting through @delcochamber to support a local Media business and ended up learning about something much bigger.
@chosentweed is an awesome home goods and gift shop right here in Media. I recently met owner Josh and his husband Paul, toured the store, and learned about an incredible partnership happening right above it.
Together with @wellrootedpa , they’re helping provide affordable housing for young adults aging out of foster care.
One of my favorite details was learning that the new tenants got to choose décor for their apartments themselves. They’re not just being given a place to stay. They’re getting a place that can feel like their own while they figure out what comes next.
We also had the opportunity to meet Sarah, Katie and Liz from Well Rooted and hear more about their mission firsthand.
This is community.
