Artisan Painting is Everyone’s Hometown Painter - your friendly neighborhood painting company. We paint houses, and we take that responsibility seriously.

From refreshing a bedroom or living space to tackling a full home repaint, our approach stays the same: thoughtful craftsmanship, clear communication, and crews who respect your home as much as you do. We handle interior and exterior painting and wall coverings, cabinet refinishing, deck staining, epoxy floor coatings, and light carpentry, always with an emphasis on the prep work that makes all the difference.

We believe in doing things the right way. That means meticulous preparation, experienced tradespeople, and trusted products from brands like Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams. Not because it sounds impressive, but because it delivers results that look great today and hold up for years to come.

Since 2014, we’ve been proud to serve homeowners throughout Delco, the Main Line, and surrounding communities. These are the neighborhoods where we live, work, and raise our families, and we’re honored to be trusted with the places where life happens.

We take pride in our craft, but just as much pride in how it feels to have us in your home. Clear communication, friendly crews, and attention to detail are all part of the experience. We want the process to feel easy, and yes, even enjoyable, because home improvement shouldn’t be stressful.

Who’s Your Painter?

Mike Lieber

Mike Lieber was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts where he lived with his parents and younger sister. Mike’s family relocated to Marlboro, NJ in 1990. Some years following, Mike found his way to Delaware County, where he has been a proud resident since 1999. Mike has always had a passion for exceeding standards in the service industry, and his skills allowed him to build a successful eighteen-year career in hospitality and restaurant management. In 2001, while working for a local brew pub, Mike and the other founders of Artisan were introduced to each other.

It wasn’t long before they became the best of friends; one might even call them brothers! Through the years, Mike collaborated with the other Artisans on a few projects, and it was during that time that the light bulb went off. This group of handsome and creative gentlemen soon realized that if they combined their expert craftsman skills with their genuine desire to create and impact people’s lives in a positive way, deep-seated hospitality mindset, and the necessary leadership tools to succeed, a great and grand thing could be created. Needless to say, Artisan Painting was born.

Jon Dyer

Jonathan was born and raised in Delaware County, Pa., where he still resides with his wife and three children. Jonathan worked with his handyman grandfather each summer through high school learning the trade at a very early age. After high school he began taking classes for hotel and restaurant management and started working in the restaurant industry, holding just about every position from server, bartender, kitchen manager, and front of house manager. Here he met several lifelong friends and future business partners.

After several years and the birth of their 2nd child, Jonathan made a decision to go back to his roots. He joined forces with his father, John (Artisan partner). We ran a small "mom and pop" painting and carpentry business that has laid the groundwork for what we have today. During these few years Jonathan also worked for two other painting companies broadening his skill set and learning the commercial landscape and fine spray finishing’s to get ready for the next step in our journey. The birth of Artisan.

Our start in the trades and the hospitality industry allows us to serve our clients with the perfect mix of talent and customer service.

John C. Dyer

John was born and raised in Ridley Park, PA where he still resides today with his wife and two youngest children. He is a proud father of 7 and grandfather (Pop-pop) of 9.

John attended Ridley High School and then attended Kutztown where he studied Art before beginning a 22 year long career with Dobbs International Services, an airline catering company. During John’s childhood he watched his father, Ed, build and sustain a residential painting company. While John had a fruitful career with Dobbs, his passion to create and apply his art skills needed an outlet and new challenge. John decided to join forces with his dad in 1997 and Dyer Painting was formed. In the years to follow John absorbed as much knowledge as he could, learning the craft of painting professionally and honing his artistic abilities.

Continuing in the tradition of family, It wasn’t long before John’s oldest son, Jonathan (Jon), would join the business. Years later it was time for another change, yet this time, it wouldn’t be a change in careers, rather a rebranding with his son Jon and new business partner Mike. With the rebranding the name had to change too, but what would we call it? Pulling from John’s artistic background, the answer was an easy one……ARTISAN!
