A Reflection on the 2026 Chamber Awards
A Morning We’re Still Reflecting On
A few weeks after being recognized as the 2026 Delaware County Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year, we’ve found ourselves reflecting less on the award itself and more on the incredible community that made the morning so meaningful.
As a local business based in Media and serving homeowners throughout Delaware County and the Main Line, this recognition felt deeply personal.
The morning still stays with us.
Not because of the plaque.
But because of the people.
The conversations.
The relationships.
And the feeling of being surrounded by a community that genuinely wants to see one another succeed.
As we’ve had some time to look back, we keep coming back to the same thought: this was never about standing alone.
Celebrating Alongside Other Delaware County Businesses
One of the most meaningful parts of the event was sharing the room with an amazing group of fellow honorees and local business leaders who are each making Delaware County stronger in their own way.
We had the chance to meet, spend time with, and take photos with some incredible people and businesses whose work continues to make a real impact in our community.
That included:
- Danielle McNichol of Fastest Labs, recognized as Small Businessperson of the Year
- Moppert Brothers Collision Services Group, recognized as Family Business of the Year
- Flashlight Marketing, recognized as Women-Owned Business of the Year
- Everybody Eats Cafe, recognized with the Community Impact Award
A few weeks later, what still resonates is how much heart there was in that room.
Different industries.
Different businesses.
Different stories.
But the same shared commitment to people, service, and community.
That is what made the morning so special.
Why Community Means So Much to Us
For us, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce has always been about much more than networking.
It has been about relationships.
Over the years, it has introduced us to people who have become trusted partners, friends, clients, and supporters of Artisan.
It has helped us feel even more rooted in the place we call home.
As we reflect on the morning, we realize this recognition belongs to so many people beyond the two of us.
It belongs to our team.
It belongs to our clients who continue to trust us in their homes.
It belongs to the local businesses and referral partners who continue to open their networks to us.
And it belongs to the Delaware County community that has supported us from the very beginning.
That support is something we never take for granted.
In many ways, this award simply reaffirmed so much of our story and why we built Artisan the way we did.
This business was built on relationships.
Not transactions.
Relationships.
More Than Painting Houses
Every home we walk into.
Every client who refers us to a neighbor.
Every fellow business owner we meet through the Chamber.
Every local partnership that turns into friendship.
That is what Artisan has always been about.
This was never just about painting houses.
It has always been about people.
We often talk about what it feels like to have us in your home.
The trust.
The communication.
The respect.
The care we bring into someone’s daily life.
In many ways, the Chamber and this community reflect those same values.
People first.
Relationships first.
Community first.
The Start of Artisan in the Community
This is the first piece in our new Artisan in the Community series, where we want to reflect on the people, organizations, and moments that continue to make Delaware County feel like home.
Because being Everyone’s Hometown Painter means being part of something bigger than the work itself.
It means being part of a community.
Artisan Painting is a locally owned painting company based in Media, Pennsylvania, serving homeowners throughout Delaware County and the Main Line.
And we are incredibly proud to be part of this one.
We paint houses. Who’s your painter?
